This is my personal blog, which I use for capturing thoughts as they occur to me. Lots of it straddles ideas and experiences. I handed in my PhD on discovery writing in December 2012. A few of my PhD theories came together on this blog too.

I enjoy photography, and am best known for photographing soap bubbles. My photography has been featured in many cool places, such as The Modern Met and The Weekly Flickr. A few of my blog articles are about photography.

This is perhaps my best known photograph. It’s my favourite!

    Hi Richard,

I am organising a TEDx event and one of the speakers talks is entitled “Break the bubble”. Looking for a suitable image for a slide, I stumbled upon your work, in particular your favourite photo (above).

TEDx events are independently organised of TED, and are organised on a not-for-profit (non commercial) basis. Would you be willing for us to make use of your favourite photo in a slide? Talks from the events are recorded and uploaded to YouTube. We would of course credit your work!

    Many thanks,
